Courses - Qigong

Qigong is an ancient Chinese art and science of becoming aware of this life energy and learning how to control its flow through a precise choreography of posture, movement, respiratory technique, and meditation. Qigong teaches psycho-physiological self-regulation; the student becomes aware of bodily functions conventionally considered involuntary-- blood pressure, respiratory rate, even the flow of blood and nutrients to internal organs-- and learns to restore a healthier balance. Qigong is A cost-effective self-healing methods in the world. The only investment needed is time, a half-hour to an hour each day; the dividends of better health, increased vitality, and peaceful alertness accrue daily and are cumulative.

Tai Chi is a style of qigong. As mentioned earlier, it is graceful, relaxed, slow, and fluid, like a slow-motion dance that improves health, nervous system, endocrine system, heart, kidneys and overall wellbeing.

Qigong includes both dynamic and gentle techniques that can be practiced from standing, seated, and supine postures, it is suitable for young and old. Practices can be tailored to individual needs making it an ideal aid to recovery from illness or injury. Qigong is a form of complementary medicine. It works well with other forms of therapy and it is recommended therapy for personal wellness and wellbeing.
